N-EXT: the international post graduate program

Info

What distinguishes the Center from other existing structures is its peculiar educational offer, which can be summarized in the Daf High formation and Professional Enhancement courses.
Organized according to two types of programs, courses are designed and structured to optimize the various psycho-physical characteristics in the 2 different age ranges.

Professional 1: Designed for students aged 14 to 18, this is a program developed specifically for children engaged in school activities, through a system that can optimize focus and use of energy.
Classes are so constantly monitored in order to allow, in full harmony, to achieve important results both from a ballet point of view and as regards the development and consolidation of processes that, from the point of view of global education of the person are of primary importance during this period of life.
As for the Professional 2, students will have included in the program, parallel to the daily study, dedicated choreographic workshops with international choreographers and original choreographic creations dedicated to them that will be periodically represented through the Live Performance project.

Professional 2: addressed to students aged 18 to 23, it puts in place a three-year professional qualification where the whole concept of the project proposes a dive into an integrated study system in which day-to- day work is combined with a series of projects and Dedicated choreographic creations and periodically staged. There is also an annual selection of projects and complementary dance materials that will complement and consolidate the knowledge and awareness of the future artist.

The professional sector in both cases is divided into thematic departments (classical, contemporary and new media) that converge according to specific artistic programs in the special didactics of the course, unique thanks to the convergence of professionalism and exclusive collaborations in constant evolution to ensure beyond an ever-present offer also the maximum adherence to physical as well as emotional needs of students.

The peculiarities of the course begin with a teaching staff of certified experience periodically partnered by choreographers, companies and important characters of the contemporary international scene to guarantee a study in tune with the evolution of the current coreutic scene but also of a concrete opening towards every possible declination of the educational path.

N-ext :THE INTERNATIONAL POST GRADUATE PROGRAM IN ITALY

N-ext is a Daf project that redefines the standards of the artist’s educational and training process and redesigns the concept of a Post Graduate program for dancers preparing for the auditions, structuring a path that is currently unique in the world.

It is aimed exclusively at dancers and students who have already completed a professional development project.

The admission to the N-ext course, regardless of the previously carried out study plan, the degree of effective capacity and maturation of the candidate will be evaluated by means of a hearing.

After 10 years of activity, in a consolidated process of relationships and collaborations with artists, directors and companies in the professional dance world and after having lead many of our students to their careers, the DAF rewrites and reformulates again an idea, a new form and a substance for a path for future professionals.

N-Ext, through a dedicated class, will offer the opportunity to work on a specific program aimed at deepening choreographic techniques and languages through the creation of six original works outlined in each season, six première created exclusively for students admitted to N-EXT, staged in evening performances organized monthly in the “DAF Performance Series” context.

Through this path the student will travel in a progressive expansion of being on stage, will be part of the construction of a choreographic repertoire that will see the preparation of these six works, then a specific and in-depth knowledge of six languages of six different artists.

The construction of this choreographic repertoire is obviously completed by the normal work plan and daily study of classical and contemporary technique lessons and will see the conclusion of the last two months of the season to the preparation and staging of the new creations in front of an International Commission, a moment of opportunity and concrete possibilities for one’s professional career.

The advantages of N-Ext are clear for all those students who want to concretely interpret the need of the current dance system, where the international market requires companies and performers increasingly able to communicate a real mastery of their own physical, emotional and mental instrument. N-Ext offers at the same time the possibility for dancers close to the professional career to be observed throughout the year, to be known by a growing number of directors and choreographers who animate the DAF world.
