D.A.F. - OUR LOCATION

All the activities of the centre take place in the structure of Lanificio Factory, a revolutionary and avant-garde complex for the study of dance and other artistic expressions.
The office resides in the beautiful location of a former wool mill, surrounded by the nature reserve of the Aniene river. The essence of the factory lives in the activities and in the artistic-cultural events, which take place in its space, divided into three sections, each of them with a particular and different use.
On the ground floor you have the restaurant, (400 sqm) and a club (300 sqm) for live events for artists’ performances.
On the first floor there is a 1000 sqm floor, entirely reserved to Dance, for a total of 9 dance studios, to end up, on the second floor, with a 600 sqm large surface area for exhibitions and equipment.
This floor planning, set out in order to guarantee and complement the best use of the spaces, allows to have access to natural, bright, pleasant and comfortable space able to satisfy the numerous needs of all the visitors and centre-goers, both in the field concerning study hours and spare time or during the breaks between these last ones.

On the floor destined to D.A.F. activities, equipped also with a doctor and a physiotherapeutic office, the program is articulated for different didactical sections divided into 9 professional studios, among these:
•    one is equipped for GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®;
•    an audio/video montage room;
•    a room for projection video, with an up to date video library regarding international dance;
•    a space completely dedicated to singing;
•    a room/theatre;
•    a space specifically dedicated to musical study;
•    D.A.F. main room will be equipped with a modular structure studied in order to contain performances and shows as theatrical alternative and innovative space.
